Luxury, gambling, and showbiz are the definition of Las Vegas for most folks. However, a trip to Vegas would be incomplete without a dip in the refreshing waters of the Vegas pools. Mandalay Bay Beach has some of the most exciting pool experiences in Las Vegas. It has several pool areas, a huge wave pool, a lazy river, and many cabanas. The Mandalay Bay Beach pool complex ranks very high among the best pools in the world.

The Daylight Beach Club is perhaps the most popular pool area within Mandalay Bay Beach. The adult-only pool often hosts interesting events and parties.

East & West Lagoon

These family-friendly pools are impressive and calm. The East Lagoon is for reserved seating only. Several nice cabanas are situated by the West Lagoon. Between the two areas are nice and quiet gazebos for those looking for a more private space.

Wave Pool

The legendary wave pool is Mandalay Bays biggest pool it is the real deal. With 1.6 million gallons, waves reaching up to 8 feet high, and a gorgeous pool deck that resembles a sandy beach, this is as close as youll get to a beach in Las Vegas.

Lazy River

The Lazy River at Mandalay Bay Beach is only one of three lazy rivers in Las Vegas. It spans over 0.25 miles and is one of the most appealing pool areas in the resort. It flows by several cabanas, day beds, and reserve seating areas.

Las Vegas Pools Open Year Round Updated For 2022/2023

When you think of Las Vegas, sun-drenched pool scenes are one of the first things that come to mind.

While the summer pool season is lively, many visitors dont realize that the weather in Vegas can get downright frigid during the winter. With cold temps in mind, a good chunk of resorts shutter their pools during the winter months.

Many visitors though, commonly from colder climates, are undeterred by chilly temps and look to visit the pool while in town.

I figured it would be helpful to construct a list of Las Vegas pools on the Strip, Downtown, and off the Strip that keep their pools open during the winter.

A couple of quick notes:

  • Always check with the property before you venture to the pool deck. Even if the pool is open during the winter, many will close due to high winds or unseasonably cold temps. Additionally, most pools still close for a week or so for maintenance during the off-season.
  • Youll want to confirm the pools hours of operation as most resorts scale things back significantly from November to April.
  • Food & beverage options are also typically scaled back or non-existent during the winter.

Las Vegas Pools Open For Locals In The Past

The pandemic definitely limited the number of pools locals have access to in Henderson and Las Vegas.

Here are some locations that previously offered free pool access to non-guests, however, are now limiting access to hotel guests only.

We will keep an eye on them and update this post as we monitor their policy to see if their offerings change.

Pool Open In November

I see weather in Las Vegas in mid November, which is when we are aiming for our next trip , averages around 70. Do the pools stay open ?

19 replies to this topic

One thing to remember is its dry heat, which feels colder and even if the high is 70, its probably in the 50s until noon or later. Las Vegas is 2000 feet above sea level and heat just disappears overnight in the fall and winter.

Many of my trips have been in late October and a jacket is often needed in the morning, even if it warms up by 2 or 3 pm. and Im coming from a northern state.
