A growing trend in Las Vegas is for resorts to offer pet-friendly accommodations. The ARIA is not a pet or dog friendly hotel, so if you plan to travel with your pooch, ARIA is not the place for you. Vdara, however, is not only pet-friendly, they even have their own dog park with a walking trail that is open 24/7!
Vdara has some special dog-friendly suites that will accommodate up to two dogs with a combined weight of under 100lbs. Its an extra $150 per night per dog. what’s better Aria or Vdara? Aria is a full service casino/resort, with a casino , several restaurants, an elaborate pool area, shows, bars, etc. Vdara is a condo type property that happens to be attached to Aria. I’ve stayed in Aria but not Vdara, and can recommend both the standard room and the corner suite .

Sure, it isn’t as cheap as staying at the Travelodge or something, but it is far from being the priciest hotel in Vegas. It’s actually quite reasonable. If you want to experience Cosmopolitan, but you can’t quite afford to stay there, Vdara is a good option for you. You can stay at Vdara and visit Cosmopolitan easily.

Aria Vs Vdara: Restaurants And Bars
Eating and drinking is likely at the top of the list for most Las Vegas vacationers. While both ARIA and Vdara have restaurants and bars, they do differ significantly in number and style. While Vdara is limited to a single restaurant , a Starbucks, and the Vice Versa Patio & Lounge, ARIA has nine or more restaurants within the resort.

Aria Vs Vdara: Standard Room Comparison
The ARIA and Vdara may be sister properties, but their standard rooms are quite different. The standard ARIA hotel room is the Deluxe King room. An upscale room consisting of 520 sq. ft. of space, a king-sized bed, big screen tv, a seating area, and a nice sized bathroom with dual vanities.
Vdaras standard room is called a Studio Suite. The Studio suite at Vdara is a bit larger at 582 sq ft., and it also sports a luxury king-sized bed. One interesting difference between the standard rooms at the two properties is that Vdaras rooms come with a small kitchenette with a two-burner cook top, which is nice if you need to heat something up or dont want to have every meal outside the room.
Another difference is that all the rooms at Vdara are suites. In the case of the Studio Suite, besides having some extra room, there is a living room area with a couch. The couch has a queen sized pull-out bed that can sleep two, making this room capable of sleeping up to 4 guests. This is an important difference if youre traveling with friends or have a four person family, as the standard ARIA room can only accommodate a maximum of 3 guests.

Final Thoughts On Vdara Las Vegas
Our stay at Vdara Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada was excellent! From the room to the amenities and service, we had a great stay. However, next time Ill bring an eye mask to block out the light from the curtains and the bathroom. Or ask for a room that faces west. It was such a relief to stay in a non-smoking hotel that was centrally located on the Strip. If youre looking for a relaxing Las Vegas vacation solo, as a couple, or as a family, Vdara Hotel and Spa is the perfect place to stay. Solar Convergence Or Death Ray
Be careful when at the pool. Like the Aria Las Vegas, the Vdara resort is a glass-faced building. The suns rays reflect from the building directly on the rooftop pool area.
Called the Death ray, guests have been burnt and suffered singed hair while at the pool.
Be sure to use and reapply sunscreen often, wear a hat or baseball cap, and stay hydrated.
You may want to consider renting a daybed or cabana.
Aria And Bellagio Pools Staying At Vdara
Is it at all possible to get into the Aria or Bellagio pools with a Vdara key card? Got a sweet deal on a Vdara suite but wifey doesn’t feel the love for the Vdara pool.
I also have a leftover Bellagio room key from my last stay . Does anyone know if they scan the key cards on your way into the Bellagio pool area?
You can attempt it and feel like an A$$ when you get caught.
Tell your wife to be carful of the Vdara Death Ray.

“The Vdara pool is great, but quite small, so we asked for a pass to use the Aria pool, which is much larger and filled with trees and other vegetation.”
As I read it they can give out passes on request to the Aria pool in Vdara reception/consierge.
He also got a reply from Vdara management thanking him for the well-rounded review of their hotel and their sister properties-

What Pool Does Vdara Use
The Vdara pool at the all-suite Vdara Hotel & Spa Las Vegas is located on level 3 of the resort. The pool complex is 40,000 square feet and consists of the main pool, a hot tub, and three semi-private pools for the exclusive use of cabana guests. Its a much smaller area that the Park MGM Las Vegas Pool.

Hi, reading reviews on Vdara I saw one poster said they asked for a pass to use the pool at Aria.
Is this ok to do? I thought that you werent allowed to use other hotels pools unless you were a guest there.
I tried to message the op but they arent accepting messages.
I am hoping that this is something that is available as Vdara pool looks quite small. Would there be a charge?

Assuming that is not the case, I have never heard of Vdara guests being allowed to use the Aria pool. MRI does not allow pool use between their different properties.

Vdara Tries To Fix Pool Problem
Fixing the problem isn’t going to be easy. As the Earth spins, the sun moves across the horizon. But as the seasons change, the angle of the Earth to the sun changes too, meaning shadows and in this case the hot spot move in a different way. Putting in one row of thick umbrellas won’t solve the problem because each day they would have to be a few feet back or a few feet forward from their prior day’s position.
“This is quite literally an astronomical challenge,” Absher said. “We are dealing with a moving target.”
Right now, the hotel is looking at getting some larger, thicker umbrellas, maybe some large plants and a few other more high-tech options, Absher said. Since the summer heat is on its way out, the hotel has a few months to find a solution.
Until then, add some extra sunscreen and beware of the strong light.

In comparison, ARIA has three distinct pools that can be accessed whether youre staying at ARIA or Vdara. Each of the pools provides plenty of relaxed lounging and luxury amenities, such as, drinks, pool menus, and private cabanas.
ARIA also has a fourth separate pool known as Liquid Pool Lounge. This is an adults only pool featuring an upscale vibe and a party atmosphere.

Although we did not travel without son for our most recent trip to Las Vegas, we would definitely return to the Vdara with him. The fact that the hotel is smoke-free is the number one reason why this is a great family friendly hotel. But the rooms are also very spacious and the kitchenette is great for traveling with kids.
