Caesars Palace Garden Of The Gods $$$ Center Strip

Sun & Safety: Las Vegas Strip resorts kick off pool season

The casino resort that defined Las Vegas luxury for baby boomers was re-introduced to and lionized by the 40-and-under set via the 2009 smash-hit movie The Hangover. A decade later, Caesars Palace continues to be a must-visit resort on the Strip, and its Garden of the Gods pool oasis one of the best-named things of any thing in Vegas is a big reason why. The smaller pools that make up the complex Apollo, Fortuna, Jupiter, Neptune, Temple, Venus are named after Roman mythological gods, and each has its own clever primary purpose . With ornate fountains and statues strewn about the pool deck, The Garden of the Gods also provides one of the most Instagram-worthy water backgrounds in Sin City. Insider tip: if you think the Caesars pools look stunning during the day, swing by in the early evening as the sun sinks behind the mountains in the horizon. Your friends back home will suspiciously wonder why half the pics in your camera phone are of this scene.Closest pool party / dayclub to Caesars Palace: Bare

The Tank At Gold Nugget

CNN Travel named this one amongst Americas Most Amazing Hotel Pools. The $30 million pool at Gold Nugget is lovingly called The Tank for a reason. Its the 200,000-gallon shark aquarium that sits in the center of the pool complex. You can swim right next to the sharks, or if you feel particularly bold, you can take the plunge and rush down a waterslide that goes right through the shark tank. If relaxing is more your style, there are exquisite waterfalls to sit beneath while enjoying a specialty drink from the H2O bar, and there are 17 lush private cabanas to stretch out in.

On the 3rd floor of this 3-story pool complex is The Hideout, an exclusive pool experience for guests aged 21 and up. This secluded paradise features an infinity pool, gorgeous poolside cabanas and the Hideout Bar. The red and gold décor and the more ambient vibe make this adults-only pool a luxurious haven.

There are five species of sharks in the aquarium: black-tipped, Tiger, sandbar, zebra, and nurse sharks. Besides soaking in the pool or hot tub, you can glide down the 30-foot waterslide through the shark-filled tank. While its not for everyone, visiting the Tank Pool is one of the most popular things to do in downtown Las Vegas with family. Just be aware that non-guests have to pay an entry fee.

The hotel does have another smaller pool, the 21+ Hideout rooftop deck with a bar and infinity pool. Still, the Tank Pool is one of the best pools on the Las Vegas Strip, with poolside blackjack and behind-the-scenes tours of the shark tank. During the tour, a marine biologist will share what goes into maintaining the tank and caring for the sharks. Anyway, I prefer to see these magnificent creatures in the wild, so even if its so popular, I dont recommend you visit it!

When Do The Pools Open In Vegas When Do Pools Close In Vegas

Before you jump to book your Las Vegas hotel based on the pool, make sure itll actually be open.

Yes, Las Vegas weather is nice year round, but it can get too chilly for outdoor pools during the late fall and winter months.

Each hotel differs on when they open and close their pools for the winter season. In general, most hotels will have their pool open from spring through mid-fall.

So if youre planning to visit Las Vegas outside that time or in the shoulder season, and youre counting on pool time, double check with the hotel about whether their pool will be open before you book.
