Tips For Maximizing The Pool Experience
- If there is a pool youd like to visit but you arent staying at the hotel, find someone to let you in. Chat it up with a group of people that are entering the pool and tell them you forgot your room key or that youre staying at and wanted to check this pool out. Be friendly and most people will oblige. Just dont let the hotels know you learned this trick from us!
- USE SUNSCREEN! Its sunny all day, almost everyday in Las Vegas. So pack some sunscreen. We dont want to see you end up with severe sun burns.
- Dont be insecure about your body. Nobody cares what you look like. Seriously, no one cares! Going to the pool in Las Vegas is a way to relax and have fun.
- Dont pee in the pool. Seriously, its not cool!
- Have a good time. This should be the most stress-free event of your trip. Spend time in the water, people watch, and forget about all your worries for a couple of hours.
Are There Free Chairs At Mandalay Bay
There are free chairs at the Mandalay Bay pool, but if you are planning to spend the day at the pool, youll want to get there early to grab the best seats. During peak summer season times, its common to see people queueing up around 30 minutes before the pool opens.
There are no set shaded areas with free lounge chairs however, it is possible to rent or reserve a chair and umbrella. The prices of chairs range from $25 to $150 per chair, and the addition of an umbrella will cost another $25 to $150.

On my most recent trip to Las Vegas, I wanted to stay at a hotel with a lazy river. However, I had difficulty finding a hotel that actually had one. So while in Las Vegas, I decided to visit every lazy river to find out which one is the best.

Every lazy river in Las Vegas has different rules. Some are only open to hotel guests, while others allow non-guests to enter if they purchase a day pass. In this post, Ill cover everything you need to know about lazy rivers in Las Vegas including how much they cost.
Bare Pool Lounge At Mirage
The Bare Pool Lounge is 21+ and separate from the general pool area at The Mirage. It is open only Thursday through Monday, except for special or private events.
It is available free of charge before 12 PM for Mirage guests. After 12 PM, the cover charge is $20 for men and $10 for women.
The same cover charge applies to the public, though locals are free on Mondays.
NOTE: The Mirage was recently sold to Hard Rock. It is not yet known when the remodel will start and end, nor whether Bare Pool Lounge will remain.

Best Lazy River Hotels In Las Vegas
Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, and Tahiti Village are the only Las Vegas hotels that have a lazy river in the area .
If you have to pick one hotel, I would recommend the MGM Grand. Its located directly on the Strip and has a long lazy river and solid pool complex. Its also one of the cheapest 4-star hotels in Las Vegas. Plus, it has a casino and a lot of great shows, in addition to a number of other things to do.
Mandalay Bay is another solid option. It doesnt have the best lazy river, but it does have the best overall pool complex. Mandalay Bay is the only Las Vegas hotel with a lazy river, a wave pool, and a sandy beach. And again, a stay at Mandalay will get you access to all of the amenities of the resort, including the casino.
Can Park Mgm Guests Use Mgm Grand Pool
Currently, Park MGM guests are allowed to use the MGM Grand Pool Complex. This is subject to change at any time, so its important to call and confirm before you arrive if this is something you are concerned about.
Park MGM guests will be asked to show their room key upon entry to the MGM Grand Pool Complex to prove that they are a current guest at an MGM property.

Vegas Pools That Are Free For Anyone To Use:
Unfortunately, there arent any resorts currently offering free non-guest access to their pool. Topgolf, below, is the only completely free pool in Las Vegas thats open to all.
Topgolfs Hideaway Pool: It may not be a resort, but Topgolfs 2-level pool is open to the public, provided youre over the age of 21. Note that no purchase is necessary. Just show up, and lounge!
Is The Mandalay Bay Pool Heated
All of the Mandalay Bay pools and the lazy river are heated, even during summer, allowing for a comfortable swimming experience. During the summer months, the water is perfect and still ideal for cooling off from the scorching Vegas desert heat.
Believe me, when its 100 plus degrees outside, an 82°F pool feels very cool and refreshing without being too warm or too cold.
In the winter months, the lazy river and other pools are closed. Weather permitting, one pool remains open but it is within the day club complex, the adults-only Moorea Beach Club.
During the winter months, the Moorea Beach Club pool is heated to around 82°F .

The Hangout At Golden Nugget
On the top floor of the Golden Nugget Pool Complex is an adults-only pool called The Hangout.
The Hangout is 21+ and features an infinity pool, cabanas, day beds, and a bar.
It is open from 10 AM to 6 PM, with hours subject to change.
The Hangout closes for roughly 2 months in the Winter. In 2022, The Hangouts pool season starts February 10, 2022.

In addition to the massive main pool area, Mandalay Bay Beach has a pool area called Moorea.
Moorea is a topless optional area, or toptional as the Mandalay Bay marketing team likes to call it.
It used to be 21+, but as of December 2021, it is now all ages. The cover charge wildly varies from free to $40. Call 877.632.7700 to confirm availability and cover charge.
Does Mandalay Bay Have A Water Slide
While theres more than enough to keep the entire family entertained for a whole day at the Mandalay Bay Beach & Pool, lovers of water slides may feel a little disappointed. Sadly, there are no water slides on the 11-acre site, although this may change in the future.
For those looking for the ultimate water slide experience whilst staying on the Las Vegas Strip, head to the Golden Nugget, where you can slide your way through a glass tube and through a 200,000 gallon shark tank aquarium.

It is not a requirement of using a lazy river, although it is a popular choice. You can just relax in the water without the need for a flotation aid.
If you are heading to the Mandalay Bay or MGM Grand and want to use an innertube, you will have to bring your own. The gift shops do sell them, but they are usually more expensive than picking them up in Walmart, Target or online. Some Vegas hotels have strict rules about the types of inflatables allowed in and the size permitted so please check before bringing your own.

One of the most epic views of the Vegas strip is from the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan. It features cabanas, daybeds, and in-pool lounge chairs.
But the best part is that they play movies on Monday at 8 PM. They call it a dive-in movies. How cute is that?
The movies are free for 2 hotel guests and Identity reward members and 1 military member & a guest . It is also open to locals for $10 and $15 for non-locals.

Are There Free Chairs At Mgm Grand Pool
There are plenty of complimentary lounge chairs and other seats available around the MGM Grand Pool Complex. They can be found beside all of the main pools as well as along the lazy river and sprinkled throughout the rest of the complex as well.
All of the complimentary pool chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to arrive early to claim the spot you want. The hotel staff is not able to hold or reserve seats for any hotel guests.
If you prefer a cabana or a larger seating area for a group, you may want to consider renting a daybed or cabana. These can be reserved directly from MGM Grand for an additional cost and will provide you a more private, luxurious way to enjoy your day poolside.
Mgm Grand Pool Complex
The MGM Grand Pool Complex has 5 bars, 1 restaurant, 4 pools, 3 whirlpools, and a 1,000 foot lazy river, all sprawled across 6.5 acres.
The lazy river and food & drink service are closed during the Winter months. However, the pools and whirlpools are open year round.
During pool season, the MGM Grand Pool Complex is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, while the Lazy River is open from 9 AM to 6 PM.
The pool area is free for guests to use and non-hotel guests can visit Monday through Thursday for a fee of $25. Non-hotel guests age 3 and under are free.
MGM Grand has blackout dates for non-hotel guests, and can also turn away non-hotel guests based on capacity. Be sure to call 702-891-3086 ahead of visiting if you are not a hotel guest.
