The Farrelly Brothers tested the funnyman’s limits in their new comedy, which sees Wilson’s character pass out in a hot tub only to wake up next to a pair of nude strangers.
And the filmmaking siblings reveal the actor felt “really uncomfortable” during the difficult shoot.
Bobby Farrelly explains, “Owen usually has a great sense of humour but he briefly lost it for that scene. He insisted on it being a closed set. I think he was worried what people might say if the pictures ended up on the internet.
“We tried to get the scene done as quickly as possible because I think it was really uncomfortable for him.”

Whats missing from this alleged sex comedy, oddly enough, is sex. Everybody talks about it, but hardly anyone does anything about procuring it. Normally, that wouldnt be a concern, but when the entire movie is built around the premise of husbands and wives declaring a one-week détente, in which each is free to have sex with whomever they want, its a problem.
But its far from the biggest affliction plaguing Hall Pass, as it meanders down a well-worn path of crude jokes, sexist attitudes and bumbling homophobic idiots. Whats most troubling is that Hall Pass finds the Farrellys regressing to the style of bawdy humor they originated back in 1990s with a succession of hits like Dumb and Dumber, Me, Myself and Irene and what many consider their masterpiece, Theres Something About Mary.
That would be great if that style of humor wasnt so hopelessly out of fashion. In fact, the Farrellys early movies look almost prehistoric compared to the recent contributions Judd Apatow and Sasha Baron Cohen have made to the gross-out genre.
Now the fun begins, right? Wrong. The gimmick backfires on both the boys and the Farrellys, all four of whom have no clue about how to take advantage of the situation. All four, however, are adept at ineptitude. How else do you explain them coming up with something as dumb as men trying to score women by spending a night hanging at an Applebees in Providence?

Drug And Alcohol Content
Rick and Fred get drunk, figuring the alcohol will help release their innate charm. It does the opposite, with Fred becoming abusive and Rick falling asleep. When they and their poker buddies eat marijuana-infused brownies while golfing, this also proves to be a disaster.
Ricks underage babysitter tries to get Rick to buy her some beer. Later, we see her drinking at a club. Others guzzle wine, champagne, beer and mixed drinks. One of Freds conquests is trying to stop smoking.
