These probably arent anything to do with your hot tub heater. But may result in your hot tub not heating fast enough. Or your hot tub may lose heat.

Checking The Pressure Switch
If your hot tub is not turning on, the problem may lie in the pressure switch. When the water pressure drops, the pressure switch shuts down the hot tub heater, but the water still flows through it.
In this case, the pressure switch could be broken or need to be replaced.
Checking the pressure switch may be an easy DIY fix, especially if you are comfortable working with electrical components. However, if you are unsure of how to proceed, you should seek out a professional for help.
The pressure switch controls the hot tub heater and is usually located inside the heating chamber.
The power leads connect to these elements. If these are not functioning, you may jump out the switch by connecting a jumper wire between the two brass screws or spade terminals.
Once the wires are connected, turn the switch to the left to reduce the minimum pressure required by the heater. You should then see the spa heating up.
If youve tried all the above solutions but still havent noticed a difference, its time to check the pressure switch.
This component is usually located on a PVC plumbing part adjacent to the spa pack, or directly mounted onto the stainless steal heater manifold.
If youre having trouble turning the hot tub on or off, you may want to replace the pressure switch.
After determining the cause, you can start replacing the pressure switch. In most cases, pressure switches are adjustable and can range from one to five psi.
My Jets Arent Working
If you wanted to lie around in warm, unmoving water, youd just take a bath. One of the best parts of soaking in a hot tub is using the jets. But if youve got nothing coming out of your jets, dont fret.
Try the easiest and least expensive solution first: turn each of your jets to make sure theyre all wide open. Also, check them for debris such as calcium buildup, and clear them if necessary. Top off the water, clean your filter, and check for plumbing line clogs.
Did you recently refill your hot tub? If so, you could have airlock. You can turn your jets on and off a few times to try to force the air out. You may also loosen the top fitting on your pump just until you hear air escape and see a bit of water, then tighten it back up.
Important: No matter what you may have heard, we do not recommend using a plunger on your jets. The force of plunging may damage your circulation system. It may also void your warranty. Then you really will be paying a bunch of money for repairs.

Turning On The Hot Tub Is Tripping The Breaker
Your hot tub includes a ground fault circuit interrupter , which is fitted to protect against any electrical faults that could cause an electrical shock to a person.

Your hot tub control panel will display error messages when it has found an issue with your settings.
Hot tub error codes will differ depending on the model and make of your tub, but below we have listed a few common messages that may be displayed.
FLO = there is a water flow or pressure error
OH = the sensors have detected a high-water temperature which could cause overheating
DRY = the heater is experiencing an inadequate flow
COOL = the water temperature is below the recommendation
SNA or SNB = your hot tub has shut down as the sensor plugged in to socket A or B is not working

Why Does My Hot Tub Shut Off After 15 Minutes
The most likely reason why your hot tub shuts off after 15 minutes is that the thermostat is set too low.
Hot tubs are typically set between 102-104 degrees Fahrenheit, so if your thermostat is set lower than that, it will automatically shut off.
You can adjust the thermostat by opening up the hot tub panel and turning the knob to the right to raise the temperature.
Another possibility is that there is a tripped circuit breaker.
Hot tubs use a lot of electricity and oftentimes have their own dedicated circuit.
If this circuit gets overloaded, it will trip the breaker and shut off power to the hot tub.
To reset a tripped breaker, simply find your main electrical panel and flip the switch back to the on position.

Why Is My Spa Water Cloudy
Cloudy spa water is usually caused by non-filterable liquid waste and a lack of proper maintenance. First, check your spas pH level and adjust if needed. High pH levels are a common cause cloudy water.
Next, test your sanitizer levels. If the sanitizer level is too low, add more. Wait two hours and test the water again. Add more sanitizer as necessary then wait two more hours. Repeat this process until the sanitizer levels consistently read correctly. Always run the pumps for 15 minutes with the cover open after adding any chemicals.
If you are using the FROG @ease for Bullfrog Spas water care system, first make sure the SmartChlor cartridge is not empty. Replace the cartridge if necessary. If it is not empty, turn the dial setting up 1 number and monitor chlorine levels for a few days while maintaining water balance. If needed, turn the dial up again. The entire FROG @ease System including a FROG @ease Mineral Cartridge needs to be replaced every four months. Without the minerals, SmartChlor will not be enough to sanitize the hot tub.
If your sanitizer levels are generally testing at correct levels and your spa water is still cloudy, you can increase filtration times to see if that helps.
You may also want to clean or replace the filters if you have not done so recently.
Non-filterable micro-particulate waste can also contaminate the water leading to cloudy water. To remove these substances, use a water clarifier product as per the manufacturers instructions.

Why Is My Gfci Breaker Tripping

If the spa was recently installed, the most common reason the GFCI would trip is the Load Neutral between the spa and GFCI which must be connected to the Load Neutral port in the GFCI breaker. If the neutral wire is connected to the neutral busbar, the breaker will trip during startup. The neutral connection must not have contact to the ground on the load side of the breaker or it will trip.
If the spa is not tripping immediately upon startup, a process of elimination should be used to identify the problem. Disconnect one component at a time from the control board and try restarting the spa. If the breaker trips, reconnect the component then try again by disconnecting a different component. Continue repeating this process until the breaker does not trip. Components include pumps, heaters, lights, stereos, ozone, etc. If the breaker does not trip after disconnecting the component, then the disconnected component is the source of the problem. Once you have determined which component is at fault, replace the component.
If you have not found the source of the problem after disconnecting each spa component individually, disconnect all components from the control board and try starting the spa. If the breaker still trips, a certified electrician will need to inspect the breaker and wiring.

The Hot Tub Is Leaking From Somewhere
If you suspect your hot tub is leaking, the first thing you should do is turn off the power supply. Once you have done this, its time to find the source of the leak.
The most common hot tub leaks are usually from the pump. If you find it is coming from the hot tub pump, you may need a new pump or replacement part within the pump such as the seal. Outdoor Living does not recommend repairing pumps as this is always a short term fix and it will only be a temporary repair.
If your leak is coming from the heater, you will more than likely need to purchase a replacement.
Check your hot tub connections including all pipes and jets. Make sure to complete visual checks around the shell of the tub to look for any holes or cracks.
A hot tub air control valve leak could also be a culprit. Inspect all your valves as some have compartments bolted together with a gasket between them, this is sometimes known to fail and cause leakage.

Headrest discoloration and/or degradation is accelerated by high sanitizer use and improper ventilation after shock treatments. To prevent your spa headrests from disintegrating, remove the them during and after shock treating the spa water or when sanitizer levels are high. In addition, leave your spa cover open for at least 30 minutes after shocking to ensure the headrests are not affected.
Its also a good idea to open the cover for just a few minutes a couple times a week even if your spa is not being used or lightly used so that the excess chemical gasses building up under the cover can escape.
We also recommend regularly cleaning all pillows with mild soap, water, and a clean cloth. Monthly, treat the pillows using a non-petroleum-based product such as 303 Protectant. This will maintain water resistance and luster of the product.
