The Intex Jungle Play Center Has A Fun Design That Offers Something For Little And Big Kids Alike
The Jungle Play Center from Intex has a shallow pool area that is safe enough for toddlers to use, but for older kids, the slide and sprayer add additional fun. As if that isn’t enough, the set also comes with an inflatable giraffe and monkey as well as five floating balls.
When Insider contributor Jackie Brown tested it with her two children, it was their favorite of the kiddie pools she reviewed for our guide on best kiddie pools. She found the slide to be sturdy and steep enough to allow a child to actually slip down, while a landing mat in the pool helps them land on their feet; the rest of the pool can be a bit slippery. Set-up takes about 20 minutes due to the various parts you need to inflate, but once it’s up, it can accommodate about three kids.
Pros: Good for both toddlers and big kids, slide and fun accessories, adjustable water sprayer, fits three kids at a time
Cons: Many compartments to inflate, pool bottom is a little slippery, not recommended for kids under 2 years old
Weather Resistant Cloth Materials
Perhaps the second-most important aspect ofgameplay is the materials used for the pool tablecloth. Most of theprofessional grade indoor tables are made with a mixture of wool and nylon orsometimes wool and polyester. On outdoor tables, however, you need a cloth thatis a little tougher and water-resistant. One common cloth fabric is calledSunbrella cloth, which is made out of acrylic. Other types of cloth found onoutdoor pool tables are Taclon and polytech. All of these fabrics areengineered to be water and UV resistant, as well as provide a smooth playingsurface.
Specialty Pool Chemical Sites
If you do not want to go through Amazon as some sellers and products can be quite suspicious. You can always opt for other top sites that offer pool solutions.
One good thing about pool chemical sites is that they offer a wide variety of pool supplies from chemicals to floating lounges on some of these sites. They have been proven to be around for a long time, and some sites carry proprietary products. Some staff even offers recommendation and suggestion on how to deal with pool chemicals.

How Do You Install An Above
The proper way to install an above-ground pool depends on the type. However, there’s a general process to follow when setting up standard pools with PVC walls and steel frames. After clearing an area and making sure the ground is level, start by laying down the ground cloth and placing the bottom plate on top.
Next, connect the metal rails to the bottom plate and around the perimeter. Then connect the vertical side rails to the bottom portion of the frame. Be sure to read the directions carefully, as the different metal rods can look similar but won’t line up or connect properly if you use the wrong ones.
After that, install the lining onto the bottom plate and up the walls. When finished, your pool should have a balanced shape, and the walls should all be the same height.
Good Quality Soft Sided Above Ground Pools
Ive been pretty negative about soft-sided pools, but thats only because Ive been talking about that garbage made in China. There are some soft sided pools that are awesome and will last for years and years. They are made of much better materials that dont rust nearly as much or nearly as soon and come with great standard fitting equipment.
These high-end soft-sided pools are still easy to install and are truly mobile as they can be fairly easily disassembled/reassembled. The drawback to these pools is the cost and look. They often will cost more than a metal walled above ground and not look as nice in the yard. Great quality soft sided pools have been around for years, but I think for the above-mentioned reasons they never really became popular.

Affordable But Much More Reliable Than Inflatable Pools The Intex Metal Frame Pool Comes With A Filter And A Puncture
The Intex Metal Frame is the more budget-friendly option from Intex that’s slightly less robust than our top pick. It’s probably not suited for winterizing in most places, but it’s fairly easy to take down at the end of the season.
At any rate, if you’re careful enough with this pool, it should last several summers, which is about all you’ll get out of any pool made from plastic or vinyl. Be gentle, don’t demand too much of it, and, as with any pool, keep it clean. If you follow those basic rules, you’ll most likely be a happy customer.
The only main issue that seems to be mentioned a lot in buyer reviews is that the pump is too small, so you may want to consider upgrading the 550 gallon-per-hour pump that comes in the box.
Just keep in mind that this pool is considerably more fragile and vulnerable than our top pick, and be especially careful climbing in and out of it. Also be sure to store it somewhere protected for the winter, and insider if possible.
Pros:;Affordable, reasonably sturdy, pump included
Cons:;Thin frames and feet, filtration pump may be too small

How To Protect Your Pool Heater From Common Issues
Although pool heaters are well designed for use in and around pools, they can still have issues. The most common issues youll run into are corrosion or damage caused by pool chemicals. Even the best pool heaters can have these problems, especially if theyre not installed correctly or if you dont do proper pool maintenance. Here are a few things you can do to help safeguard against heater failure:
Balance Chemical Levels
Unbalanced chemicals can cause corrosion to happen more quickly than it should. Its also unhealthy for you to swim in a pool with unbalanced chemicals, because it may cause sickness or skin damage. Your heater is not immune to damage from pool chemicals. While theyre designed to handle normal saltwater, chlorine, or other chemical water conditions for years at a time, an imbalance of any of these chemicals is likely to speed up the deterioration and cause failure.
Short-term exposure to very imbalanced chemicals can rapidly damage your pool heater while long-term exposure to slightly imbalanced chemicals will cause accelerated deterioration and shorten the heaters expected lifespan.
The most important things to remember for your water is that the pH should be between 7.2 7.8, chlorine levels are not meant to exceed 10ppm, and calcium hardness levels need to stay below 400ppm. These are not the only factors but are generally considered to be the most important factors to a good chemical balance in your pool.

What Is The Walmart Warranty And Protection Plan
Most retailers offer some type of extended warranty and care plan and consumers tend to be wary of these because of all of the limitations and restrictions that makes it not worth the cost to buy. Some companies are notorious for finding loopholes around getting out of honoring these plans, but does Walmart fit into this category or do they really make good on their promises? First, lets take a look at the actual plan that they offer their customers. The Walmart Care plan is issued to customers through a company that is called Asurion. This insurer is located in Nashville Tennessee and their primary function is to fulfill extended warranties. They offer two ways for consumers to report claims. one is through their online program called the Solutions Hub and the other is by calling them directly and speaking with a representative to file a warranty claim over the phone. Some customers have reported that Asurion is fast to handle legitimate claims on extended warranties. They dont fuss with small details and even when an electronic device can more inexpensively be repaired by a local shop, their preference is to have you ship it back as a return and they will send you a new item in perfect condition. The boxes they use as shipping containers are large and well padded to ensure that there is no damage to the item during the shipping process. In some cases, Asurion will make repairs but this is left to their discretion.

General Maintenance Tips For Above
1. Be prepared for DAILY Maintenance
Dave does almost all the pool maintenance which I thank him for regularly. Its not a difficult job, but it DOES require diligently checking on things every day in order to keep the water clean.;
He adds chlorine EVERY day usually right away in the morning when he opens the pool.;
He also adds a stabilizer to the water when we open the pool in the spring. Then he shocks the water.;
From then on, he shocks the pool every other week and uses an algaecide on opposite weeks.;
We use our pool skimmer every time we swim and Dave vacuums the pool roughly once a week.
NOTE: if you plan to be gone a lot over the summer, you may want to think twice before setting up a Costco pool. The pumps are small, and without daily care, you might just come home to a nasty green pool!;
2. Test the Water Regularly:;
Dave uses water test strips to test the water each day.
Theyre not perfect but they give a pretty good idea of the water quality.
Dave also brings water to a local pool store for testing once a week. They do it for free and tell him exactly what he needs to do to the water.
3. Monitor Your Pump
You will need to run your pump with the filter regularly this is important for the health of the water.;;
That said, you should also monitor your pump each day so you know what your pump can handle.;
He then runs the pump WITH the filter again for a couple of hours in the evening and turns it off before we go to bed.;
4. Get a Solar Cover and/or Solar Heater

With temperatures continuing to soar across the country and record-breaking heat waves dominating the Pacific Northwest, many people are focusing on ways to keep cool this summer, whether that involves hitting the beach or simply cranking up the AC. When it comes to a typically affordable and accessible way of cooling off in the backyard, social media has been influencing an uptick in inflatable pools including so-called kiddie pools since the start of the season: A few from Walmart and Target went viral on TikTok earlier this year, causing them to fly off the shelves, while inflatable splash pads made rounds on the app to keep dogs cool this summer.
Inflatable pools are especially appealing because of ease of installation, said Greg Canfield, a pool expert at Leslies Pools. You can purchase a pool and have it shipped to your home within a week, setup is generally one day or less and in some cases only a couple of hours. You can typically use a hand pump or an electric or battery-operated pump to inflate them.
