Sure it’s possible on some pool builds, but a definate no on others. If it’s a tiled, fibreglass, rendered or pebble pool that has been converted over to vinyl, you should be able to fibreglass it, but if it was converted over because of ground movement, that issue will still be present, so you are unlikely to get good result with any finish other than vinyl. Only Aqualux remains flexible, able to accommodate pool structure movement while remaining watertight.
If your pool shell is a prefabricated panel walled pool , then no, it is not suitable for any surface finish other than vinyl. These pools have been engineered for a flexible finish, and renovating them using a hard finish such as pebble or fibreglass is incredibly high risk, with very little reward. If there is any ground movement at all, the pools inevitably crack and leak, and the owners end up having to pay to have them converted back to a flexible finish like vinyl again within 2-5 years.

Measure The Length Of The Floor
The liner company will need to know the length of the pool floor. From the inside of the pool walls, measure the shallow end from the point where the shallow end begins to the point where the liner attaches to the wall. You might want to enlist a friend to help with the next measurements.
Once youve finished measuring the shallow, move to the slop. Measure the slope from top to bottom. Then, measure the deep end where it is flat . Finally, measure the deep end slope to the point where the liner attaches to the wall. You can use a length of string or a tape measure for these measurements.

Measure Depths At Several Spots
This is where measuring can become complicated. Most inground pools have varying depths and angles that are easier to measure when the pool is drained. If your old pool liner has pulled away from the permanent floor of your pool, you may need to cut into it to get the accurate measurement from top to bottom. Only cut it if you are confident you are replacing it.
You should get at least three depth measurements. Get one in the deep end, one in the shallow, and one in the middle. Measure from the liner track in the coping to the floor of the shallow end. Do the same with the hopper. Also, measure a mid-point on the slope. Using string here is also helpful.

Make sure you avoid direct contact with the liner and properly circulate the water. Always pre-dissolve pool shock in a bucket and pour slowly around the edge of the pool. Leave your pool uncovered for 24 hours after adding chlorine and other chemicals to allow them to properly dissipate into the air.

Vinyl Pool Seats Cost
Not every pool includes seats. Some people use their stairs when they want a place to temporarily rest in the pool. However, it is possible to add seating inside the pool. Like with stairs, there are different ways to do this.
You can add a simple white plastic bench seat to the interior walls, which is the least expensive option. The white stands out against the pool walls, however, so it is the most obvious.
You can choose to have your liner go over a bench or ledge in the pool wall. In this case, the bench or ledge is built into the wall. The is stretched and fitted over it. This creates a more seamless appearance for the pool, resulting in a more subtle look. Like the rest of your pool, this means that the liner is at risk of puncture or ripping in these areas, while a white plastic bench will be more durable long term.
