Will Lap Swimmers Be Able To Reserve Lanes At Umly’s 50m Pool
There will not be lane reservations this year. Prior to last year, we did not have lane reservations and weve always had plenty of space in the pool. A designated staff person will be checking memberships as members arrive to use the 50M pool. They will be stationed at the double doors by the exit to B Pool during the week and by the gate to the 50M pool on weekends. Additionally, B Pool will also have lap swimming available throughout the day.
Work Up A Sweat First Inside And Out
If the kids need to build up a sweat before jumping in the pool, sign them up for soccer, Taekwondo, basketball, or T-ball. The Y has all of their;favorite sports. Two, six-week Summer Sessions begin June 3 and again on July 15. Explore the options, then sign them up.
Weve taking workouts, sports and events outside this summer. And you can always step inside when; you need a break from the sun. For young and old alike, weve got tons of weights and cardio equipment, or you can try boxing, Irish and square dancing, Lightsabers, group exercise classes, like Les Mills Body Pump, and many, many more sports and fitness options. You can also find adult basketball, pickleball and kickball leagues on the Meetup app.

Swimming/pool Health And Safety
HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES
- Members are encouraged to come dressed to swim to reduce touch points and contacts in locker rooms.
- Members must bring all of their own equipment, such as towel, lock, flippers, goggles, etc.
- Individuals/families are required to maintain appropriate social distancing while on the pool deck and in the pool.
- Lap swimming is limited to two people per lane to meet physical distancing requirements. Reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure a lane is available when you arrive. Make a reservation.
STAFF HEALTH & SAFETY
- Staff will receive a daily health screening, including temperature checks.
- Lifeguards will not wear masks for safety reasons unless approached by member or participant.

Tomlinson South Meridian Ymca
The Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA opened its doors May 25, 2018, on a 22.5-acre campus called The Hill;near the intersection of Eagle and Amity Roads.;The Hill is made possible through a unique collaboration among the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, West Ada School District, St. Lukes Health System, City of Meridian Parks and Recreation Department, and Meridian Library District. This is the first YMCA in the U.S. to build a facility with so many partners. The shared campus serves as a model for communities across the country by combining recreation, education, health, wellness, and literacy in one location. Located in the growing, vibrant area where South Meridian, Kuna, and southwest Boise meet, it;is;where we will come together to create intentional and lasting impact in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Pools Are Open For Lap Swimming Water Walking And Open/family Swim

- Pools will be cleared 15 minutes to the hour for cleaning of high traffic areas and lifeguard breaks.;
- Any youth 5 years or younger will need to have a responsible individual 16 years or older swimming within arms reach of them at all times.;
- Any youth 6-9 years will need to have a responsible individual 16 years or older in the pool area at all times.;
- Please bring your own towels. Locker rooms are open.

The Chilliwack Ymcas Pool Is Now Open
The Chilliwack YMCA was happy to open their aquatic area on April 1st, 2019.; With the delays experienced during construction, this was a welcome moment for our members to take a dip in the pool.
There were plenty of smiles on the faces of our members who were able to join their first aquafit class in quite a while. Friends were reunited in the pool and are looking forward to their regular class each week. ;
The Chilliwack Y has begun swim lessons. We have almost 900 members in registered swim spots!;;
We are pleased to be adding another 300 swim lesson spots in the month of May. The Chilliwack YMCA will be continuing to add more spots to meet the needs of our growing membership base.

Who Can Use The Outdoor Pool
Children under age 5 must have an adult 18 years or older in the water within arms reach and actively involved in the supervision of the child.
Children between the ages of 6 and 9 years old must have an adult 18 years old or older providing supervision at any pool.
Members Age 10 + are welcome!;
Full Countryside YMCA members can use a guest pass to bring a guest.;Guests must be accompanied by the member.;
At our;Lebanon;facility, the following pricing applies for guest passes:
Youth one-day pass -;$7
Family one-day pass – $15;
Nationwide Members are welcome starting at 1:00 pm. Nationwide Members cannot bring guests.
Lap swimming is for members ages 13 and over. Swimmers between 6 and 12 years old, having passed the swim test, may swim laps with an adult as long as they are continuously swimming laps.;

Summer Swim Fun At The Y
Are you ready? What about the kids? Are they in swim-shape? Dont panic! The Y is here to help keep your kids be safe at the pool and provide fun activities all summer long.
Here are just a few water things you can do at the Y to this summer:
- Safety Around Water Over 300 spots are available for free Safety Around Water classes for ages 5-12 from June 17-20 at six YMCAs as part of the first-ever Indy Water Safety Week.
- Swim Teams Join a Y swim team and be a Barracuda, Shark, Otter, Ray or Mussel or be a Masters swimmer, if youre an adult.
- Water Fitness Classes Try Aqua Zumba, Water Yoga, Aqua HIIT, Fit Floator whatever floats your boat!
- Swim Schools and Lessons;;Known as Americas Swim Instructor, the Y also offers group, private, semi-private lessons and;clinics;for all ages.;Our new swim lesson format makes it easy to plan around vacations and trips. It also helps swimmers retain more of what they learn. Registration is open!
- Kids can learn to swim at;Summer Day Camp too, where learn everything from breast stroke to free style.
- Sensory Swims; Individuals of all abilities can enjoy the new Sensory Swims every Saturday in June and July at Jordan Y and;Sensory Sundays;at Benjamin Harrison Y.
- Laps Squeeze in a few laps. If youre in it for the long haul, try the Olympic-sized, 50-meter outdoor pools at the Ransburg, Jordan and Baxter YMCAs.
- Doggie Swims;– Before you know it, well open the pools up for Doggie Swims at the end of the season.
How Do I Access The Outdoor Pool
Access to the Outdoor Pool will be from the Outdoor Pool entrance only.; The exit doors from the Wet Hall are closed and cannot be used to enter or exit the building .
Please park in the Outdoor Pool Parking lot.; ;
Please have each member of your familys membership card ready to scan.; All youth ages 6 12 years old will scan their card at the Kids Scan scanner for age verification and swim wristband.
We have updated our pool policies, and will be enforcing all pool policies;including dress code, safety and supervision, and swim tests.;
Bring your own goggles and nose clips.;Sharing personal items like these is discouraged for sanitary reasons.;

Summer Splash At The Outdoor Pool
Our outdoor pool is open, and we cant wait to see you there! This year will be so much fun since the pandemic restrictions are over and we can stay for as long as we want, bring guests, and hang out with groups of friends. Just like summer should be.

When Will The Ymca Be Open
The YMCA is following the statewide mandate to shelter in place. Our branches and overnight camping facilities are closed, and due to the fluid nature of this scenario, we are not able to predict how long our facility closure will last. As soon as it is safe to open, we look forward to serving you again.
Is The Lionville Community Ymca’s Outdoor Pool Opening
Unfortunately, we are unable to open the Lionville Community YMCAs outdoor pool this summer because there is not enough space by the pool to adequately allow for social distancing. While we wish the circumstances were different, we will not take chances with your health and safety. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment. Active YGBW members are able to purchase an outdoor pool membership at any of our YGBW branches.

Facility Hours And Access Faq
A: Alberta Health Services has determined that the Wellness Centre must remain closed until further notice to limit public access to the hospital.
A: Registration for swim lessons and other registered programs is live now and begin on September 13th. To view availability and to register online please visit .
A: Yes, personal training is available now. Please inquire on the weight floor.
A: All children ages 13 years and younger must participate in a swimming skills assessment and will be provided a coloured wristband based on their age and swimming ability. As always, children between the ages 0-7 must stay within arms-reach of a caregiver at all times.
A: Towels will remain available to Membership Extra members and available for rental.
A: Yes, Water fountains and bottle fillers are available to use. Given the limited quantity of bottle fillers at some of our locations, we encourage all facility users to bring filled water bottles with them.
A: Facility and amenity capacity limits vary and are dependent on size, design, as well as the activity and programming in the space. We adjust capacity limits at regular intervals for operational reasons, but aim to provide the right balance of space and numbers . We encourage you to check our Online Capacity Tool at www.ymcacalgary.org/capacity for real time data on our aquatic and weight floor areas.

Why Is There A Membership Fee To The Brandywine Ymca’s Outdoor Pool
To provide the safest experience possible, many procedures such as increased staffing and rigorous cleaning and disinfection are being implemented based on recommendations from the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health.;These procedures come with additional costs; and as a result, it is necessary to charge a minimal membership fee for the outdoor pool. The cost is very reasonable and additionally, financial assistance and payment plans are available.
Restrictions Exemption Program Faq
A: Beginning Monday Sept 20, 2021, Proof of vaccination status for those aged 12+ will be required to access any YMCA Calgary facility, service or program
- From Sept 20th to Oct 25: Anyone 12+ looking to access a YMCA facility service or program must have received at least one dose of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine.
- Proof of a single dose is acceptable as long as the dose was given more than two weeks before time of YMCA entry.
- From Oct 25 onward: Anyone 12+ looking to access a YMCA facility service or program must have received two doses of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccines.
A: Right now, there are several options people 12+ can use to prove vaccination status:
- Paper: Immunization records received at immunization appointments
- Technology: Records shown from MyHealth Records app or website
- Printable card: Paper card printable from MyHealth Records app
A: YMCA Calgary will NOT be accepting any rapid test results in lieu of vaccine status. We do not have the capacity or expertise to determine the validity of a rapid test result.
A: We are currently developing a process to manage requests for medical exemptions. While we are building this process, exemptions will not be provided. However, we are committed to doing this quickly, so that we can work with our community to determine accommodations as appropriate.
A: YMCA Calgary will be implementing a mandatory vaccination policy that will apply to staff, volunteers and contractors.
