Las Vegas, one of the worlds most electric cities, turned the lights, fire and fountains back on last June after a several-month closure following the declaration of the pandemic. Since then, in the entertainment capital of the world, travelers have headed back to the slots and gaming tables at least at most of the major resort casinos. Other smaller resort-casinos remain closed or only open on weekends when there are more visitors to the city.

Although the lights are back on, valet parking, congregating at a hot craps table and partying in a packed nightclub or pool still wont happen again in Vegas for a little while. But, things are steadily improving.

Which Las Vegas Pools Are Open In The Winter

While most Las Vegas pools are heated nowadays, some do close for the winter months between mid-October to mid-March. Those that do close are usually only down for a few months during the colder season for Vegas . Some also close for a short time during the winter for maintenance.

However, every hotel is different. If youre unsure, contact your hotel directly. Or, see the chart below for a list of pools that are open during the winter months. If a pool is listed as open during the winter, it is a pretty safe bet that the pool is heated because it does get cold here.

When Do Vegas Pool Parties Open For The Season

Las Vegas clubs, pools prepare to reopen amid loosening COVID-19 safety precautions

When do Vegas Pool Parties open for the season you ask? We get this question a lot so we figured that we would try to provide some answers for you. While most all of the pools will be opening in the beginning to middle of March, dont expect to see the big-name expensive DJs until right around Cinco de Mayo weekend.

If you are going to be in Vegas before the pool parties are going to be open but still feel like hitting up a pool there are a number of pools that are open year round, although you would have to bring the party.

So there are really two different questions, 1.) when do the pool parties open for the season and 2.) When the Vegas pool party starts to get busy.

We have put together a list of each of the Vegas pool parties and the approximate dates based on the opening days from the previous years.

When Do Pools Open

We have been to Vegas last year and this year in June and obviously the pools were open, in fact a life saver!!

Next year we plan to go at the end of March for one night and the 17th and 18th April.

Will the pools be open??

Thanks

It depends on the hotel. Some stay open all year. Some don’t open until May. Many are open in March and April.

Almost all of the hotels will have a pool open the end of March. The larger pool complexes will probably not have all their pools in use, Most notably MGM which doesn’t usually have their lazy river open that early. But Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo usually do, if that matters in your choice of hotel.

Even if they have a pool open, its unlikely to really be “pool weather”. You could get lucky and get a warm sunny day. But more likely than not it will be on the cool side.

Unless a pool is closed for renovations or something, I’ve never heard of one opening as late as May. They will all be open in April. For late-march, you should expect just about every hotel’s pool area to be open. But if the pool area has multiple pools, some might be closed.

Late March is still iffy for pool weather. April 17th should be fine.

More specifically does anyone know if the Golden Nugget pool will be open around 28th March?

For a specific question like that, your best bet is to call the hotel and ask. What has been the case previously may not necessarily apply in 2013. But they may not have a definite answer until early next year.
