Should I Stay At Vdara

The Vdara is a pretty hard hotel to beat if you don’t want to gamble while you’re in Vegas, but if you do, then the Aria is right across the way. The Vdara is much more quiet than the hotels with Casinos, it also offers nice views, and a very nice pool. The rooms are very stylish and modern looking.

Vdara Tries To Fix Pool Problem

Fixing the problem isnt going to be easy. As the Earth spins, the sun moves across the horizon. But as the seasons change, the angle of the Earth to the sun changes too, meaning shadows and in this case the hot spot move in a different way. Putting in one row of thick umbrellas wont solve the problem because each day they would have to be a few feet back or a few feet forward from their prior days position.

This is quite literally an astronomical challenge, Absher said. We are dealing with a moving target.

Right now, the hotel is looking at getting some larger, thicker umbrellas, maybe some large plants and a few other more high-tech options, Absher said. Since the summer heat is on its way out, the hotel has a few months to find a solution.

Until then, add some extra sunscreen and beware of the strong light.

The Vdara Is A Place To Relax

If you want to go to Vegas to get rowdy with all your friends, this might not be the spot for you. However, if you want to go to Vegas to actually relax, it is excellent. It has a relaxing pool, it’s super quiet, has a nice spa in the building, and there is no casino. Also, each room is a suite, so you don’t have to specifically ask for one.

I know what you are thinking. There is no casino in Vdara? That’s right! And you know what? We didn’t miss it one bit. The hotel is basically attached to Aria, which does have a casino. Vdara also has a walkway into the Bellagio, which has a casino as well. Do you like Cosmopolitan? It’s basically right beside it and it’s easy to get to from Vdara. In my opinion, Cosmopolitan has the best casino in Vegas. So you have easy access to three major casinos. You won’t miss it at all.

Since Vdara does not have a casino, that helps keep down a lot of the chaos and noise that you might hear at other Las Vegas resorts. You really can’t hear much outside noise either. The place is practically soundproof. I couldn’t even hear other guests at the hotel unless they were in the hallway outside our door. It’s perfect for getting a good night’s sleep.

If relaxation is your goal, Vdara is the perfect spot to be slightly off the Strip, but close to all the action.

The Bottom Line On Staying At Vdara

After staying at several places in Las Vegas, I would say without hesitation that staying at Vdara was the most pleasant experience. I’ve found some of the bigger casinos and hotels to be overwhelming. They are fun to visit for shopping and dining, but if I get lost trying to find my way from the casino to the door, it can be a bit much.

Vdara definitely has a more relaxed feel to it than most of the other resorts in Las Vegas. If you are looking for a peaceful, clean, and reasonably priced place to stay in Vegas, I would highly recommend Vdara.

Vdaradoes It Charge Guests To Use The Pool

Hi there,

I’m completely new to the world of Las Vegas Hotels and am currently considering staying at the Vdara for 4 nights in late September.

I just wondered if someone could explain about whether strip hotels in Vegas generally charge their own guests to use their pools?

Am I right in thinking that we will be charged $25 per day to use the pool at the Vdara? That’s what it looks like from the website.

Sorry if it’s a stupid question… just i’ve never come across this before!

So…your resort fee covers your basic entry to the pool and normal sunloungers. You’ll pay more if you want a daybed or cabana at Vdara . The cabanas at Vdara have their own small pool which is only available if you have paid for the cabana.

Pool access would be free. However, the $25 will be added to your bill.

WHAT IS THE RESORT FEE AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

A daily Resort Fee of $28 is posted to each guest room to offer amenities and services for a nominal all-inclusive fee. Please note the inclusions you receive for this charge: High-speed internet service in your room & public areas, unlimited local and toll free calls, daily newspaper pickup at Front Desk or Market Cafe, two bottles of Vdara water in guest room refrigerator per day, access to the fitness facility, boarding pass printing services in the Business Center, and nightly turn-down service, upon request only.

Suitable For Families Yes

Although we did not travel without son for our most recent trip to Las Vegas, we would definitely return to the Vdara with him. The fact that the hotel is smoke-free is the number one reason why this is a great family friendly hotel. But the rooms are also very spacious and the kitchenette is great for traveling with kids.

How Much Is Parking At The Vdara

In addition, if you pay the full 24 hour fee of $30 and you are a registered hotel guest at the Vdara, you have unlimited in and out access without being charged a new valet fee for that day. It’s also customary, or course, to tip the valet person when dropping off your car, and when picking it back up.

Aria And Bellagio Pools Staying At Vdara

Is it at all possible to get into the Aria or Bellagio pools with a Vdara key card? Got a sweet deal on a Vdara suite but wifey doesn’t feel the love for the Vdara pool.

I also have a leftover Bellagio room key from my last stay . Does anyone know if they scan the key cards on your way into the Bellagio pool area?

You can attempt it and feel like an A$$ when you get caught.

“The Vdara pool is great, but quite small, so we asked for a pass to use the Aria pool, which is much larger and filled with trees and other vegetation.”

As I read it they can give out passes on request to the Aria pool in Vdara reception/consierge.

He also got a reply from Vdara management thanking him for the well-rounded review of their hotel and their sister properties-

Eating and drinking is likely at the top of the list for most Las Vegas vacationers. While both ARIA and Vdara have restaurants and bars, they do differ significantly in number and style. While Vdara is limited to a single restaurant , a Starbucks, and the Vice Versa Patio & Lounge, ARIA has nine or more restaurants within the resort.

Restaurants at ARIA include:

Hi, reading reviews on Vdara I saw one poster said they asked for a pass to use the pool at Aria.

Is this ok to do? I thought that you werent allowed to use other hotels pools unless you were a guest there.

I tried to message the op but they arent accepting messages.

I am hoping that this is something that is available as Vdara pool looks quite small. Would there be a charge?

1st the disclaimer: If you gamble enough in Las Vegas you can get anything you want.

Assuming that is not the case, I have never heard of Vdara guests being allowed to use the Aria pool. MRI does not allow pool use between their different properties.

Aria Vs Vdara: Standard Room Comparison

The ARIA and Vdara may be sister properties, but their standard rooms are quite different. The standard ARIA hotel room is the Deluxe King room. An upscale room consisting of 520 sq. ft. of space, a king-sized bed, big screen tv, a seating area, and a nice sized bathroom with dual vanities.

Vdaras standard room is called a Studio Suite. The Studio suite at Vdara is a bit larger at 582 sq ft., and it also sports a luxury king-sized bed. One interesting difference between the standard rooms at the two properties is that Vdaras rooms come with a small kitchenette with a two-burner cook top, which is nice if you need to heat something up or dont want to have every meal outside the room.

Another difference is that all the rooms at Vdara are suites. In the case of the Studio Suite, besides having some extra room, there is a living room area with a couch. The couch has a queen sized pull-out bed that can sleep two, making this room capable of sleeping up to 4 guests. This is an important difference if youre traveling with friends or have a four person family, as the standard ARIA room can only accommodate a maximum of 3 guests.

Comparing Shows & Entertainment At Aria And Vdara

Shows and entertainment are obviously a big attraction when visiting Las Vegas, so its unusual for a major hotel to not have any resident shows, but neither ARIA or Vdara are home to any shows. The good news is that there are plenty of shows available very close by.

Right next door at the Bellagio youll find O by Cirque du Soleil. One of the most amazing shows on the Las Vegas Strip, O is an aquatic-themed production filled with swimmers, acrobatics, divers, and dancers. Also, just across the street is Planet Hollywood, and it is home to several shows as well including,

• Illuminate
• plus several other headliners and one-time shows

In addition to these options, both ARIA and Vdara are close to T-Mobile Arena which hosts regular shows, concerts, and sporting events. Also, next to T-Mobile Arena is the Park Theater. A 5,200 seat theater that hosts its own packed line up of sports, concerts, conventions, and award shows.

So while Vdara and ARIA dont have any regular shows of their own, you will be literally steps away from a long list of big name shows, concerts, and sports.
