American Red Cross Classes

Memorial Park Rec Center Pool Open

Water Safety Instructor Class – Learn to teach swim lessons. This American Red Cross class provides a nationally recognized swim instructor certification. Qualified applicants can join the Community Recreation Center instructor team. Seniors and adults are encouraged to apply.

Lifeguard Training Class – The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Class prepares students for work as professional lifeguards. Students are required to pass a swimming test on the first day of class and must be 15 years old by the completion of the class. Students who successfully complete the course are certified in Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid. Employment opportunities are available for qualified applicants.

Durango Swim Club – The Durango Swim Club is a United States of America Swimming affiliated club team. DGO practices at the Durango Community Recreation Center. The club has called the Recreation Center home since February 2002 and has enjoyed the state-of-the-art 11-lane training facility.

Masters Swimming Program -;Masters Swimming is a year-round program consisting of adults, 18 and over, who strive to maintain fitness, train for competitions or wish to meet and compete with other swimmers. The program offers six workouts a week, four early mornings, and two evenings for a total of eight hours. For more information, please contact Kimberly Ebner at 375-7310 or

The Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center is a 50-meter pool that provides swimming and aquatic programs for all ages.

Our diverse array of programs includes swim lessons, water fitness, recreational swim team, public swimming and diving.

It’s never to early to get your kids in the water. Our youngest Baby & Me participants start at six months old.

Facility Update:; The Aquatic Center is open for Lap Swim, Fitness classes and Recreation Swim. Starting August 16, 2021- all Lap Swims, Fitness classes and Open Swims will be drop-in only.

Recreation And Aquatic Center Hours And Schedules

Special Notes: Kiddie Pool

The Kiddie Pool is open to everyone, but it was designed for young children . All babies and toddlers who are not toilet-trained are required to wear plastic or rubberized nylon pants, even over a disposable swim diaper. Regular diapers are not permitted. Older children and teens are not allowed to use the fish slide.

In-water dives, somersaults, and roughhousing are not permitted. Please prevent children from running; this is the major cause of injury in the kiddie pool area.

State health codes prohibit food and drinks around the perimeter of all pools.

Pools may be closed at any necessary time due to bad weather or water quality.

If the pools are closed for special events, those events will be posted at least 2 weeks in advance.

Special Notes: Lap Pool, Dive & Plunge Pool

The Lap Pool is heated to 82°F and remains open year-round. Please note that if the air temperature is below 55 degrees, the pool will have a delayed opening or remain closed for the day, depending on the weather. Pools may also be closed at any necessary time due to bad weather or water quality.

Carpenter Park Recreation Center Opens New Indoor Pool ...

Upon seeing lightning or hearing thunder, the pool must be cleared immediately. Outdoor aquatic site staff and patrons are to stay away from objects that conduct electricity, such as reaching poles and umbrellas and are to stay a minimum of 30 metres away from any wire fence. Patrons may return to the water 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or the last sight of lightning. For further information regarding the potential danger of lightening strikes, contact Environment Canada.

Delbrook Community Recreation Centre

The pool area and changing rooms,;including all amenities, are;closing for an essential scheduled maintenance shutdown and will reopen on October 12, 2021.

The pottery studio is open for clients with a 2021 Delbrook pottery studio memberships only. Visits need to be pre-booked.

Rec & Aquatics Center

Welcome to the Spearfish Recreation & Aquatics Center. We have a lot of great things going on an hope you can join us for featured events.

Attention all runners, walkers, and Halloween lovers. We will be having a 5K Monster Dash on Saturday September 30th at 9:00AM. ;Dress up in your favorite costume and participate in this new event. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age division as well as prizes for best costume. Click on the fitness link for more information.

The Fall Festival kicks off Oct 23rd with our pumpkin carving contest. ;October 29th is the Spooktacualr Carnival. Then on Saturday morning October 30th is our 5K Monster Dash followed by the Movie Hocus Pocus showing Saturday night at the campground. Check out the events under the “events” tab.

We now offer a fitness orientation class for anyone 12 years and older. Please check the schedule for dates and times. Fitness classes are in full swing. Check out the latest calendar for class information.

Our SilverSneakers program runs five days a week. Pre-registration is required for all of our classes.;

Proposed Enhancements And Referendum

Racine’s SC Johnson Community Aquatic Center to open this weekend

In 2015, the Castlegar and District Recreation Commission embarked on a master planning process to plan for and enhance the provision of recreational services and facilities into the future. Findings from this process showed that the community wanted improvements to the Complex, and provided insight for the Commission to move forward.

Several subsequent public consultations have occurred to define the scope of the potential enhancements. Thank you to everyone who participated and provided their feedback throughout this process.

The project went to referendum on June 23, 2018 for the borrowing of $22,000,000.00 million dollars for the proposed enhancements. The referendum was .

Welcome to The Meadows, one of our world-class community recreation centres. Our Member Experiences team can lead you on an in-depth tour of the facility, and help you find the programs, amenities and opportunities that will suit the individual needs of you and your family.

Pool Closures And Service Alerts :

Participants are encouraged to make a reservation in advance.

The outdoor pools will be open on Labour Day from noon to 5 p.m. for leisure swim.;;All other pools will be closed the day prior for the season.

The Meadows Is Now Open

The fitness centre,;gymnasium, aquatic centre and indoor playground at the;Meadows Community Recreation Centre are now open for individual and group fitness use.

Drop-In Indoor Group Fitness Classes;are now being offered. To optimize your safety, class sizes are limited, physical distancing is encouraged and sanitizing wipes are available.;Virtual group fitness programs;and;virtual personal training;remain available.

The Meadows Community Recreation Centre brings people together to enjoy sport, recreation, social and cultural activities all under one roof! The 234,419 square-foot facility, located within the Meadows District Park, provides indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities – creating an active community hub that is open and welcoming year round.

  • We are operating at 100% occupancy.;;
  • Our occupancy limit will not exceed 400 persons, even during family hours.
  • Once we reach capacity, we will operate on a 1 in/1 out policy. ;

Lap Swimming

  • To best utilize our lane space, please follow the below guidelines for lap swimming.; Lap lanes are on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Avoid resting in the center of the lane or at the center of the wall.;
  • Avoid using wide strokes or back strokes unless you can swim in a straight line.
  • Be considerate of others and communicate with your lane buddy and the lifeguards, as appropriate.

These policies will be enforced inside the Aquatic Center as well.

Mask Use At Indoor Pools

  • Masks must be worn inside recreation facilities, except when swimming.

  • Spectators on pool decks are required to wear masks.

  • Masks are required in the changeroom but can be stored in a locker instead of wearing the mask out onto the pool deck. Participants will need to put on their face mask again at the end of their swim prior to changing.

  • The City of Surrey is operating aquatic services following guidelines from the BC & Yukon Lifesaving Society and the BC Recreation and Parks Association.;

Is Photography Allowed At The Aquatic Park

Aquatic Park visitors may take limited and quick . To respect the privacy of others, visitors may not photograph people who are not in their immediate group. Visitors who appear to be photographing those not in their immediate group may be asked by a staff person to stop taking photos. Cameras and cell phones are not allowed in the water.

As of May 19, 2021, Texas Tech University has lifted mask and social distancing guidelines.;The current guidelines read as such:

Per a directive from Texas Tech System Chancellor Tedd Mitchell, an executive order by Governor Greg Abbott, and recent guidance from the CDC, Texas Tech University will be revising our campus COVID-19 protocols. Effective immediately, all protocols outlined in the Texas Tech Commitment will be lifted, including the mandatory face-covering policy. Face coverings will now be optional. For those who have not been vaccinated, face coverings are highly recommended to prevent the spread of COVID-19.;

Cool Temperature Closures :

  • If the forecast high for the day is 19 degrees C or lower, leisure swims will not operate and the pool is to be closed.
  • If the temperature drops to 19 degrees C or lower during pool operations and there are no lessons scheduled for the day and there has been no attendance for 30 minutes, the pool is to be closed and staff shall leave the pool.

    Uintah Community Center Pool

    Swimming is a great activity to keep you active and having fun and the Uintah Community Center Pool is the perfect pool to get your daily exercise in at or just some quality time with your family. Come down and swim with us!

    State Health Code Regulations:

    • Swim diaper AND plastic swim pants are required for children under age 3
    • Children 4 and under MUST have an adult in the water with them within arms reach
    • Children 5-8 years of age must have an adult present at all times in the pool area
    • Everyone must take a head to toe shower before entering the pool area

    Enjoy a swimming at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex, Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre and Guildford Recreation Centre.

    The City of Surrey is planning to add more swimming lessons over the fall. We appreciate your continued patience as we work towards restarting these operations while keeping swimmers and staff safe. Proof of vaccination is not required to visit indoor pools.

    The Conroe Waterpark features a childrens wading pool with playground and an older youth-adult pool with a basketball goal. There are now five water slides, three are 3-story tower slides.;; Please see Conroe Waterpark schedule below. Admission is $8 per person. We do have a capacity limit. Once we reach our capacity, you may be added to a waiting list and notified by text when we have an opening for your guests. Visitors are allowed to bring in coolers and food. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages are allowed. Swim suits required, no cut-off shorts allowed. Lockers are available, bring a padlock or purchase one at the park.     Our Oscar Johnson Jr. Community Center Pool, located at 100 Park Place, offers a zero depth graduated entry pool, a mushroom spray, and a water slide.     Health and Safety Standards

    Reservations For Outdoor Swim

    Reservations for 45-minute outdoor swim sessions must be made in advance online at toronto.ca/swim. Through the system residents can:

    • Log in using existing family and client numbers
    • Create an account online for themselves and members of their family
    • Book leisure swims and lane swims up to one week in advance, one activity per day, per person
    • Cancel a reservation up to one day before the activity is scheduled. Same day cancellations can be made by calling PF&R Customer Service Line

    Blocks of new swim reservation spots are released Thursdays at 8 a.m. for the following Monday to Sunday. A select number of spaces at each outdoor pool location will be held back to ensure swimming remains accessible to people with limited access to the internet. These spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

    Hours of operation and swim times vary by location and can be viewed online.;Admission to outdoor leisure swimming, lane swimming is free.

    Indoor / Outdoor Party Packages

    Plan your child’s next birthday party at the Angleton Recreation Center. Our packages include one hour of party time in either our indoor party area or outside party pad. Afterward, guests may go to the pool area and swim. Any additional guest to your party will have to pay the standard day pass fees at the front desk upon entering. All-Party Package Rentals must be made seven days in advance, no exceptions.;***Until further notice the 26-foot water slide will be closed.
