Tucked away in a lush gated community, the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques is an elegant hideaway in Mexico.
It has beautiful Asian-style private pool villas, built on stilts on a hill overlooking Acapulco Bay.
The jaw-dropping views from our plunge pool kept us spellbound. As did the orange and magenta sunsets.
It was fun to see parrots, vultures and seabirds flying above our heads too.
Indeed, this is one of those villa hotels with pools on the balcony or terrace, where we happily spent a lot of time in our own private pool.
Mind you, we tore ourselves away to eat at the resorts Thai-themed Saffron restaurant.
